And now for an update on the Hurts in Winston-Salem.  This weekend Jed and I breathed a sigh of relief as we found a few of the essentials to being a Hurt.
The three of us attended our first wine tasting at Wine Merchants Gourmet on Friday night and brought home a couple bottles to enjoy.  On Saturday we all headed to Pilot Mountain for a picnic and a hike.  On the way, we grabbed tasty sandwiches at The Bagel Station II.   We found that the hike up Pilot Mountain was far from easy but the views were amazing and we had a blast.  We completed our Saturday by dining on sushi at Downtown Thai and Sushi.  The wine list was excellent and the sushi and nigiri were both elegant in their presentation and quite delicious.  For the grand finale to our Winston-Salem weekend, we stopped at Blue Ridge Ice Creams for much needed gelato on a balmy Sunday afternoon.  Wine, bagels, gelato, and sushi . . . Winston-Salem is starting to feel like home.
