Jed and I officially surpassed the seven year itch this summer when we celebrated our eighth wedding anniversary. For our gifts, we always stay true to the theme and a tight budget. This year we were offered the choice of linen or bronze. Jed gave me an elegant set of monogrammed linen stationary as I still adore the art of a handwritten note. In return, I gave him a small bronze H from France that was used by traveling bakers in the late 1800s in order to advertise their breads and pastries.

It took us a couple of months to determine the perfect spot to hang the H until a recent Sunday afternoon. We chose to give it a permanent spot on the banister of our home.

H is for Hurt. H is for Home.
