After constructing a pair of makeshift awnings in order to create a Parisian café for Mattie Windsor’s birthday party last weekend, I became inspired to make permanent window treatments for our dining room.

As luck would have it, I had purchased an amazing five yard remnant of suzani fabric a few weeks ago that was destined to grace the walls of our home.

I was also quite fortunate to also find a remnant of a complimenting solid to add enough yardage to make it possible to make drapes.  And I was ready to sew.

I lined the drapes in order to protect them from sun damage and completed the look with tie backs held together with vintage buttons.

The new look has elevated our dining room and looks downright classy.
