I recently got to spend a very special Saturday with my Mom.  During our day together, we spent about an hour meandering around an antique mall somewhere close to Staunton, VA.  It was love at first sight when I discovered a four yard bolt of a vintage Waverly fabric entitled “Mobile Gardens.”

With the exception of a few discolorations, it was in excellent condition.  I thought the $20 price tag was quite fair, so I decided to bring it home.   It only took about a week for me to decide to transform the vintage fabric into shades for our guest room.

For the curtains, I dug through my personal fabric inventory and decided to added a solid pink stripe along with accents of a more modern black and white garden gate fabric.  I am thrilled with the result and the extra pop of color provided by this romantic fabric is just what our windows needed.
